CAREC organizes a regional workshop on Scaling Carbon Markets

On 8-9 October 2025, a regional workshop on  Scaling Carbon Markets: Lessons, Opportunities, and Regional Cooperation was held in partnership with the Climate Change, Resilience, and Environment Cluster of the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD). The event brought together government representatives and leading experts to discuss opportunities and challenges in developing carbon markets across the region. Participants underscored the importance of private sector engagement and regional cooperation and highlighted the need for ADB’s support to address institutional capacity gaps and navigate evolving international standards.
