Second CAREC Ministerial Conference

The Second Ministerial Conference was convened in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 11–12 November 2003. Under the established Overall Institutional Framework (OIF), this high-level conference reviewed the progress in regional cooperation activities since the First Ministerial Conference on CAREC held on March 2002. It also sought to provide guidance and direction to the OIF and its future activities.

The conference was participated by ministerial and senior-level officials from the governments of member countries and representatives of participating multilateral institutions. Observers from invited governments and bilateral and multilateral institutions also attended the conference.
