Workshop on Risk Management and Customs Intelligence

The workshop was the first of the series of in-country training workshop on risk management sponsored by ADB and was a part of its ongoing support for the regional customs cooperation program for East and Central Asia under the auspices of the Customs Cooperation Committee.

The workshop provided

• an overview of risk management and its operations process;
• methods and techniques;
• major conditions for its effective implementation (e.g., legal framework, organizational structure and human resource policy, and IT infrastructure);
• country experiences in its implementation; and
• a framework for the introduction of the risk management system.
